UW Libraries' Online Workshop Series offers multiple opportunities for students to learn new techniques for academic success without ever having to come onto campus. Workshops are free, non-graded, librarian supported, and based on practical activities.

This module-based workshop consists of self-paced activities and direct communication with Libraries volunteers that provide an introduction to graduate-level research, an orientation to resources available at the Libraries and to the UW Community, opportunities to connect with peers, and instructional workshops facilitated by Libraries staff.
Self-paced | Electronic Theses and Dissertations

The University Libraries welcomes you to this self-guided course on electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) at the UW. In this five-part learning experience, you will learn a lot about the ETD process including how the submission process works, how to give and receive recognition for your work, how to find and interpret publisher policies and how to read and inspect publishing contracts.

Introduction to Business Library Research is a self-paced tutorial for students new to business information. Developed by the Foster Business Library librarians, the content and lessons provide an orientation to the fundamentals of business information sources, effective research strategies, and how to use select library and publicly available sources.

Storytelling Fellows is a University of Washington Libraries program that helps students, faculty and staff communicate their research more effectively through storytelling. Enrollment in this fully online program is completely free. You are welcome to join a podcasting, digital exhibits or video storytelling workshop throughout the year with no previous experience required. Instructional materials for these workshops are also available in the associated menu locations on this site.
