What are the OSC Desktops?

The OSC Desktops are 5 workstations with discrete graphics cards installed and access to software including:

• ABBY FineReader

• Adobe Creative Cloud

• Anaconda

• ArcGIS

• Atlas.ti

• Calibre

• Oxygen

• QGIS

• Sublime

• UW Libraries standard software package

Who can use these workstations?

Anyone with a UW NetID is able to log in and use the desktops. Please note that when using Adobe Creative Cloud, you may be required to create a personal Adobe ID, distinctly different from your @uw.com email address.

Do I need a reservation to use the OSC Desktop?

No, the desktops are on a first come, first served basis.

Helpful Reminders

The workstations will log out after 15 minutes of inactivity. All work not saved to external or cloud based storage is wiped with each log out or reboot. Users are responsible for saving their work.
